Pop & Lock

Luckily this morning Oscar was on it - quick & easy with a robot request.  Phew...we were super late - robots are simple & fun.  This dude looks like he should have a hat on the ground collecting coin stylin' his smooth dance moves on the block.  Happy Thursday!  xoxo

The King of Bacon

Oscar’s latest obsessions – angry birds & bacon – represented here.  Neither of these new likes are cool with me, I have to admit.   I love my games as much as the next girl, but the angry birds craze is up there with Hannah Montana & that singing bass that was on the Sopranos…I don’t get it.  And bacon, well, g.r.o.s.s. – at least to me.  Sigh – guess I have to ride this out.  Happy Wednesday!  xoxo

IDK

As uze, this morning we are rushing despite multiple alarms sounding & a (relatively) early night to bed...sigh.  Whatevs - with seconds to spare Oscar pulls out Ghostbusters, The Video Game & asks for this random dude.  Of course, he asks me for his name.   I say, he's just an extra, not a star - he doesn't get a name, or a credit.  Happy Tuesday!  xoxo

I Take Care of the Trees

Quick & easy – Oscar saw this movie last night.  Definitely one of my all time faves from Dr. S, so in our mad rush this request was oh so simple.  That’s it – take your kids to see the film or even better read it with them this weekend.  Happy Friday!  xoxo

The Sweet Sound of Droid

For your listening pleasure this morning (well, mine really but use your imagination) Oscar played Lego Star Wars for PS3.  Gotta admit, I have always loved the sounds coming out of R2D2.  I explained this to my kid, who responded "if you love him so much why don't you marry him?"  Hmmm... Happy Wednesday!  xoxo

Ghostbusters II, Electric Boogaloo

Oscar's only problem with the Ghostbusters franchise is the gleeful expression on the more popular spirits.  So Slimer for example:  "Why is he smiling?" I say, he's happy he gets to scare the crap out of people.  My issue isn't the pleasure principle...in fact it has nothing to do with the films but the follow up animated series where Slimer becomes a sidekick.  What?  I explain how this bothered me as a kid & Oscar agrees it's wack.  "He's a ghost!  They have to catch him, not hang out with him." Well said Oscar, well said.  Happy Tuesday!  xoxo

Who Ya Gonna Call

Another super fun weekend under the belt and…Monday again.  Big highlight:  Oscar received the Ghostbusters game for PS3 for his birthday.  This weekend, although he wasn’t home, I tested out its dopeness.  The way I see it, he would’ve enlisted me to help him at some point so I thought the preview was justified.  This morning he saw it on the recently viewed queue & immediately asked for one of the ghosts to be drawn on his bag.  Oscar’s only issue with the Stay Puft marshmallow man is that he’s too cute to be scary.  He hasn’t gotten through the entire movie yet…just wait I tell him.  That puffy dude brings it – no worries.  Happy Monday!  xoxo
